Once we disembark at Calais this first day we put some miles under our belts in order to reach our first overnight stay at Bernkastel Kues. Bernkastel-Kues is one of the most appreciated Moselle towns and is proudly called the centre of the middle Moselle. Guests come here every year, from all over the world, to seek and find diverting recreation in the "international town of vines and wine."

Situated on both sides of the river, underneath the ruin of Landshut Castle, the old town invites you to go for a stroll through its historical lanes. Here you will discover its unique, almost hap-hazard ensemble of wonderful medieval half-timbered houses. Todays mileage approx 300 miles
