Tour overview:

Departing from Portsmouth we take the overnight ferry to Santander. This ferry journey is approx 24 hrs so plenty of time to relax, have a drink or three, and get to know each other. There is the choice of live entertainment/cabaret or a film in the cinema, or of course just a quiet drink and a chat in the lounge bar. After a nights rest we will be landing at Santander and then riding through the heart of Spain.

Fantastic roads open up before us very quickly letting us know we are definitely out of the UK and the tardy road conditions. Ahead is some serious biking country.

Once into Spain we head for Valladolid for our first overnight stop. .

Peaceful mountain villages and orange groves make this a spectacular ride as we continue South West and head for Salamanca.

From Salamanca we continue South through the Parque Nacional de Monfrague renknowned for its high densities of large birds such as Black Vulture Spanish imperial Eagle, Black Stork, Griffon Vulture, Perdicera Eagle, Golden Eagle and more.

.

Caceres is our next stop before continueing onto Seville and eventually down to Gibraltar and the port of Tarifa where we will catch the ferry to Tangier and then head South towards the interior and the mountains.

Webcam Tarifa & Tangier Ports

Whilst we ride through these mountains we visit Ketima where we will get fantastic views of Mount Tidirhine.

We will visit some bustling, busy cities/towns with very narrow streets –where in some cases, the only way of getting round the Medinas is by foot.

From the mountains it's then the Sahara and eventually we cross the High Atlas mountains via the stunning Tizi-n-Tichka pass. This is an amazing road with twists and turns which take you through fantastic mountain scenery before heading into Marrakech. This road was built by the French Foreign Legion in the1930s and loops and twists its way along the exposed ridges, as high as 7,415ft. above sea level.

With many other towns and sights to see on this amazing tour of Morrocco/North Africa we will eventually head back to Tangier and the ferry back into Spain with an alternative but just as thrilling route home.

This trip includes an overnight bivouac in the desert (which we reach by camel) as well as optional 4x4 or quad bike trips into the desert.

This promises to be THE motorbike tour of 2011.

This is also the ONLY 2011 tour we are advertising now.
